Forester’s Marking Tool

PUMA Forester’s Marking Tool, there is not a model number. It is used to mark trees that were scheduled to be removed during cutting in forest. The blades are sharp and semi-circular. When the user marks the tree, a deep and visible notch is made into the tree. It removes the bark and leaves a distinctive mark.

These were specialized tools made for the Forestry Industry. This model was used to mark trees for selective harvest. Land owners also have used them for marking trees on property boundaries. Paint has all but replaced these tools for these purposes in today’s times.
