Waagemesser - Fisherman’s Scale Knife

PUMA Waagemesser / Fisherman’s Scale Knife, the model number is 40 0501. The knife features all mirror polished stainless steel construction with a built-in scale to weigh fish. It also includes an integral "priest" for administering "last rites" to any uncooperative fish.

Pre 64 Puma Fishing Knife with a leather cord is packaged in the red box. The PUMA model number is 40 0501.  It was handmade in Solingen, Germany. This piece was hand made (Handarbeit") in Solingen, Germany as the knife making capitol of the world since 1769.

The Waagemesser in the yellow box with a clear top has a guarantee control number of 28491. This indicates the knife was hand made at PUMA Werks in the 1st half of 1994.

The knife features a 3 1/2" polished finish Solingen stainless steel blade and is 9 1/2" overall in length. It is 5 3/4" long when closed. The entire knife is made from polished German Stainless Steel. 

The front blade is etched with the weight in lbs. and the weights. It is the purest example of PUMA quality straight from the Solingen Germany factory. PUMA packaged this model first in a red cardboard box. PUMA also packaged this model in a yellow box with a clear top and green top. The current model comes in a black box.
