PUMA Skinner, the model number is 11 6393. This model is a very popular knife. The guarantee control number is 40482. This indicates the knife was hand made at PUMA Werks in the 2nd half of 1984.

The blade is German stainless steel and the handles are stag with three brass rivets and a lanyard hole that is brass lined. This knife measures 9 1/2" overall with a 5 1/8" blade. The front of this knife blade is etched: 6393 PUMA SKINNER - NEW STAINLESS STEEL SUPER KEEN CUTTING STEEL - HANDMADE GERMANY.

The knife includes the "PUMA Proof Mark" on the blade: a small dot or ping on each blade was made with a diamond pointed needle, part of the Rockwell blade quality testing. The knife also comes with the Rockwell sticker. It has a 5 1/8" German stainless steel blade and is 9 1/2" overall length.

This PUMA knife came in the factory green and yellow box. The knife came with the factory papers and warranty control tag. The knife also comes with a genuine PUMA tan leather sheath.

The first Skinner model PUMA made around 1962 had a slightly smaller blade than all future years. Also the first skinner model came in the wood presentation box.
