Hunter’s Friend

PUMA pre 1964 Hunter’s Friend, the model number is 6398. The handle is genuine stag. This knife does not have a guarantee control number stamped on it. The knife is over 55 years old. The blade is German Pumaster steel and the handles are stag with three brass rivets and a lanyard hole that is brass lined. 

This knife measures 9 1/8" overall with a 4 3/4" blade. The front of this knife blade is etched: PUMA HUNTER'S FRIEND - GENUINE PUMASTER STEEL - GERMANY 6398.

The knife includes the "PUMA Proof Mark" on the blade: a small dot or ping on each blade was made with a diamond pointed needle, part of the Rockwell blade quality testing.  It has a 4 3/4" German stainless steel blade and is 9 1/2" overall length. The knife also comes with a genuine leather sheath. The knife came in the factory PUMA green and yellow box with a leather sheath.
