Hunter’s Friend Set

PUMA Hunter’s Friend Set, the model number is 6388. The handles are genuine stag. This a special combination set made for a short time in the early 1960's. It consist of the Hunter's Friend knife, Model 6398 and the Gutting Knife, Model 6395. This model is an extremely rareset.

The Hunters Friend Set came with the hunter’s friend knife and a gutting knife 6395. These sets are probably among the rarest collector's items from PUMA. The Hunters Friend knives that belong to this set are numbered 6388.

The actual number of the Hunters Friend was known to be number 6398. Another special feature of the 6388 model is the missing strap eyelet, which was only attached to the 6398. The 6388 were issued in the early 1960s in a wood presentation box with a dark green sheath. This PUMA set contains a Hunter’s Friend Knife and a Gutting Knife (Aufbrechmesser).
